How long should you give a relationship to determine if it is going to work out or not?
In my opinion you should only date for a month and no longer. If after a month you have determined that she's not the girl for you, break it off. I know this sounds a little cruel, but if you date beyond a month, she's going to be thinking in her mind that it's developing into a serious relationship and you are officially her boyfriend.
If you don't feel the same then it's not fair to lead her on thinking that you're ready to commit to her for aserious relationship. Just tell her that she's a fine person, but you're not ready for a serious relationship with her and it's best that you don't date anymore.
On the other hand, there are women who will still want to see you after you tell them you don't want to get serious. They don't want to be tied down to a serious relationship either. If you can handle this arrangement, then fine. Go for it! Just don't get jealous when you learn that she's dating and sleeping with other guys.
