When a man verbally makes a suggestion of sexual activity to a girl, it is usually preferred that it not be too explicit. Years ago it was fashionable for a man to invite a girl to come to his place to see his etchings, or to see his new wallpaper , or a special painting. When the girl accepted the invitation, the real plan was obvious, but this little pretense made the whole thing sound more respectable.

Today you can invite a girl to "sip a nice wine, while you put something relaxing on the stereo." Or you can ask her to "come and join me for a candlelight supper." Other simple invitations are to "come over to my place for a while" or to "stop in for coffee." Or even to "see my water bed."

If you take a girl home (to her place) you may ask if you can come in for a drink, or she may invite you in herself. Her hospitality does not necessarily signify her sexual willingness, but if she agrees to show you her bedroom you can feel fairly sure you've reached home base.

Another approach might be to ask, "What do you say we go somewhere now, I mean somewhere private?" If she agrees, you could check into a motel or find any other suitable place.

If you invite her to "go away" with you for a weekend (or overnight), and she accepts, it is a fair assumption she is accepting your invitation as a sexual proposal, unless she plainly insists on separate rooms. Even that arrangement, however, might be negotiable later.
