I know you probably don't want to hear this advice if you own a rodent or reptile, but just by having one it can turn women off that you are dating (especially on a first date). Keep in mind that a lot of women are scared of mice, rats, snakes, etc.
So, what to do? I would recommend not having these if you are trying to date women. Anything that would possibly turn my date off, I would eliminate. After you have been dating awhile, then you can bring up the subject of having these for pets. If she does not care, then go for it.
